Italian-American soprano Miriam Costa-Jackson launched the Costa-Jackson Sisters’ opera legacy, performing with sparkling coloratura and lyrical warmth across the U.S. and internationally. She performed as Micaëla in Carmen at the Phoenicia Festival of the Voice (2018), followed by a standout turn as Clorinda in La Cenerentola with Seattle Opera (2019), praised for “crisp coloratura” (Sybaritic Singer). Trained by Renata Scotto at Santa Cecilia, Sherrill Milnes at VOICExperience, Ariel Bybee, and Bill Schumann, Miriam earned MONCA awards (Rocky Mountain Division 2010, Utah District 2017) and Opera Index semi-finalist recognition (2017).
Earlier milestones—including Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte, BYU 2010) and Gilda (Rigoletto) with Dmitri Hvorostovsky in Minsk (2015), followed by concerts in Moscow and Volgograd—laid the groundwork for her rising career. In Carmen at Florida Grand Opera (April 2025), she performed Micaëla and Frasquita, marking the first time all three Costa-Jackson sisters shared an opera production. Her Micaëla was lauded as “poised and affecting” (South Florida Classical Review, 2025).
Miriam starred as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus (Lyrical Opera Theater, May 2025). Her Sicilian heritage fuels her vibrant stage presence, bringing emotional depth to global audiences.
